We are ‘real foodies’ here at Trelaske! Our kitchen is somewhat unconventional in that as owner/managers it is just ‘us two’ who between us select, prep and cook a daily changing menu for you, our guests.
This does require some planning especially accommodating seating times but it’s our passion and we aim to bring the best of everything that Cornwall has to offer to you.
It also means that we are able to ensure the quality of our menus and the provenance of our ingredients from ‘plough and sea’ to plate! And here in Cornwall
we are truly spoilt for choice…
Looe is a world-renowned day fishing port that means we are able to plan our menus around the ‘catch of the day’ - nothing beats that ‘just-caught’ freshness!
We also strive to use Cornish reared meat in our menus, many of which are rare local breeds giving a sublime depth of flavour and for the fruit, vegetables and herbs we don’t grow ourselves we use local produce.
Guests tell us that supporting Cornish fishermen, farms and businesses that bring the ingredients to the plate is as important to them as it is to us. Our annual AA Hotel Inspector seems to enjoy our menus too having awarded us Two AA Rosettes…

IMPORTANT: as the produce used in the restaurant is bought in daily please note all reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance.
CHILDREN: we regret we are unable to accept bookings within the restaurant for diners with infants. Please note we do not offer a children’s menu.
SUNDAY LUNCH: we offer set days throughout the year for Sunday lunches. Alternatively you can book our restaurant on an exclusive use basis - minimum chargeable numbers are 30 adults. Please contact Hazel for further details.
